Susan Johnson is one of the two main protagonists in the 1989 film Cheetah, alongside Ted. She is a California girl who is Ted's older sister. She befriends a goat herder named Morogo and adopts an orphaned cheetah cub they call Duma. She is the daughter of Earl and Jean.
She is portrayed by Lucy Deakins.
Susan and Ted aren't really looking forward to spending six months in Kenya with their scientist parents Earl and Jean. Once there, they change their minds when, together with local goat herder Morogo, they adopt a female cheetah cub they call Duma. They soon realize that they must set her loose so that she can learn to hunt and be free. However, when she is captured by poachers planning to race her against Greyhounds, Susan and Ted, together with Morogo, head off into the wild to rescue her. After they rescue Duma from Abdullah and his gang, they decide to release her back into the wild where she belongs.
